Take it or Leave it

  • To-day’s ride lived up to its billing. Easy going except for the 12 kms out-and-back from Burnstown to Fraser road, where JG and I chased down MB – who was in full time-trial mode; and then, for the final 7 kms on Russett, where we each went deep into the red, like Moses parting the waves, for the others to follow. You just s/h been there.

She used to work in a diner
Never saw a woman look finer
I used to order just to watch her float across the floor …

Somewhere on a desert highway
She rides a Harley-Davidson
Her long blonde hair flying in the wind
She’s been running half her life …

You know it ain’t easy
You got to hold on
She was an unknown legend in her time
Now she’s dressing two kids
Looking for a magic kiss …  NY
