Hello there –

Good day. I wish you many happy kilometres of cycling for several more weeks.

It’s time for me to go. I’m off. The call of the Alps beckon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMHGjS-QpxY

I leave home and all that’s familiar and I enter a new world of novelty and desire. What will I find there? Will I return the same person or be changed or be indifferent to the experience? How will I find you upon my return, the same or changed or indifferent? Will we resume as before, will we start over, or just leave off?

Change can only come from within, they say; but it’s influenced by experiential reality of place and time and events, like the altering course of a river as it encounters boulders and ledges, constrictions, dams, and the erosion of time. Here’s to the tumble, the riffle, the rapid, and the boiling whitewater. May your life be a Level Six – challenging, adventuresome, and exhilarating. May I find you renewed and still alive with wonder, and with the spirit of thankfulness and gratitude for this one life.

I’ll return, no doubt –  the same but different.
