Hello –

Almost mid summer and the living is easy. Superb weather, except for the lack of rain for gardens and fields and vegetables and crops. It’s certainly great weather for the beach and water sports. It’s good too for cycling but only first thing in the morning before the high sun and humidity and winds kick-up.

Okay, there are two options this Saturday: 1) Stinsons; 2) Gatineau. Expect we’ll have a regular complement of riders for Stinsons on Sunday.

Here’s the tentative plan for Saturday:

1) Stinsons at 7:30 am with the route and distance to be determined by those present

2) Gatineau P3 at 7:30 for a 83 – 85 km route and 1544 – 1571 metres. This involves climbing King three times and returning on the third circuit via Kingsmere, Swamp, Barnes, and Mackenzie King to the Champlain Parkway. Ask yourself, where else would you rather be?

Time to complete will be 3 hrs to 3.5 hrs, approx. We will stop for a rare photo at the Belvedere Lookout.
