Hello again.

Well, I have two rides before the big-depart on Wednesday. Blog will return by September 16, most likely.  FYI.

Therefore, I’m keeping this short, as has been requested. But warning, this ride does not include an ice cream stop.

Here’s the tentative plan for Saturday: (subject to rider consensus)

Meet at Stinsons on White Lake Rd for 7:30 am 7:30 am start and ride to Renfrew for coffee at the Bistro. Route takes us to W-L, Stewartville, Miller/Anderson, L-W, Thompson, RR, Pinnacle, GoE, Bruce, Raglan (km 62 for coffee); home via Gillan, L-W, Goshen, #508, Russett, Flat Rapids, etc for a total distance of 94 kilometres and 556 metres of climbing.

This route is a middling one for climbs, most notably up to White Lake, through the rock-cut on RR and then Storyland, with the longest test for the legs being the 1 kilometre climb on Goshen. Sounds pathetic, I know but it’s about the best we can do around these parts. So, when the alarm rings in the morning, ask yourself, “Where else would I rather be?” than on my bike. It’ll be an easy ride. Aren’t they all?

Our training goal is to gain power and strength and to build upon our existing endurance base.

As usual, it’s steady as she goes, with minimal delays on the road.

Weather: 11 – 20 C, full sun; POP 0%; winds NW 15.

Caveat: All this subject to change based upon the turnout and the weather and rider consensus.
