Hello. How are you this fine summer day. Great weather now, and the prospects are good for the weekend. That means great cycling days ahead. And, that calls for us to take full advantage of it. I hope you can join us. You’ll be asking yourself, “Where else would I rather be?” Not in bed, for sure, on a Saturday morning when the sun beckons and the air is fresh and you know your buddies likewise are full of anticipation for what the day holds. So, kick the covers off, pinch yourself, jump up, chow down, head out the door, saddle-up, and pedal your way to a your own personal nirvana. Release, smile and breathe. It doesn’t get better than this.

Simple pleasures are best, are they not? And, all the more so when shared with others of a compatible nature. Days are short, too; and, while everyday hold promise, not everyday is a cycling day. So, why not hop on your bicycle and join us. You won’t regret it; and, you’ll be impatient for the next group ride. Yes, it’s that much fun. Ask yourself, “where else would you rather be?”

Here’s the tentative plan for Saturday: (subject to rider consensus)

Meet at Stinsons on White Lake Rd for 7:30 am 7:30 am start and ride to Starbucks Kanata via Dwyer Hill, Galetta, Stonecrest, etc for coffee at km 60; home via Old Carp Rd, Cnty Rd 5, Galetta, etc for a total distance of 108 kms. See Map.

This route is middling flatish but with rollers and some small climbs but nothing serious. If you like Old Carp Rd and Stonecrest Rd, you’ll be in an earthly paradise. Our training goal is to gain power and strength and to build upon our existing endurance base.

As usual, it’s steady as she goes, with minimal delays on the road.

Weather: 14 – 23 C, full sun and no rain in the forecast; so good, in fact, it would be a great day for a wedding; winds N & E at 15.

Caveat: All this subject to change based upon the turnout and the weather and rider consensus.
