July 17/16: 81 Kms; 2 Hrs 41; 782 Metres; Ten  Riders

Well, my question for you is “was that day one or day two of riding?” It sure felt like day one with an uptempo cycle into a west wind that was blowing twice as hard as forecast. Still, eventually, we had a romp of a cycle down Castleford Rd to the river brought on by Neil’s nifty escape from the group. The chase was on; led by KO. Unfortunately, the pursuit caught JG unawares and he had a  hard scramble to latch on. Things mellowed out on River Road for several kilometres until the Valley Carver when CMac took the front and made us bite hard. After that, it was just a matter of time before we turned down Campbell Drive for the inevitable dash to the overpass. Now, that was fun (it always is), neuromuscular fatigue and all. You know by now that you just should have been there. For myself, I was empty and euphoric at the same time. Do you think I need to see a doctor for that? No, but more protein would help.

Okay, kudos to JG for some heavy lifting (at pace) on the hills to Renfrew.

Also, good luck and fair weather to the lads on the ReggioCapitale on Saturday.
