Okay, hello. I’m a bit late with this. Been a working man for the past two days. Hard labour but lovely. Nothing quite like sore muscles and an appetite after a long day alfresco. More on this another time but meantime I salute all those whose head and hands are equal partners, who don work-boots and hard-hat, and bend body down and pick up, and walk with measure throughout the day.

Right, here’s the tentative plan: NOTE THE CHANGE IN TIME & VENUE!!

Meet at Canadian Tyre  at 8am 8am on Daniel St and ride to Star Bucks in Kanata via Loggers way and Diamondview, etc; home, via Panmure to Dwyerthill for a total distance of approx 100 kms. Of course, all this subject to change based upon the turnout and the actual weather, and one’s mood at the time.

Yes, one-hundred kilometres but we’ll back off the pace because it’s still early and the distance is a bit of a stretch for most of us just now. Also, the weather for Sunday is not looking good. Expect that Sunday’s ride will be shorter.

Saturday’s weather forecast is calling for lots of sunshine and temperature in the low single digits; winds NE 10.

Alert: Information about our ride’s (for new and old), these are ‘no-drop’ group rides. It’s steady as she goes (conversational style) and easy on the legs. If you have had thoughts of joining us and weren’t sure about the pace or the distance, then, here’s your chance. You’ll love it. We all do.
