June 13/15: 74 Kms; 2 Hrs 28; 581 Metres; Eight Riders

Well hello. You will be happy to know we kept our plan to ride as one and to dial down the pace and the distance. It was a satisfying ride in good conditions. And, what at first appeared to be an ugly duckling of a morning turned into a beautiful day for a cycle. We had sunshine, a blue sky, and verdant growth greeting us as we passed by newly planted fields, and lush meadows. Hey, we even saw wild turkeys foraging for seeds. Nature beckoned us to enter its world of wonder. Cycling early in the day can be a key to that door. But, isn’t every day a kind of quiet miracle of awakening to wonder. Not even a flat tyre can puncture the moment. We had one but it didn’t let the air out of our good humour. You just should have been there. Join us, why don’t you?

A big welcome to C & M, who joined us this morning. Hope to see you again, soon.

Okay, so What’s the plan for Sunday –  more of the same, nothing too long or hard.

Meet at Stinsons at 8 am 8 am and ride to Almonte via WL Rd, Conc 10, Waba, Pakenham, Hwy 15, Clayton Side Rd, Conc 8, Rae Rd to Palms for coffee; home via Martin St and Blakeney to the Kinburn Side Rd to Dwyer Hill, etc. for a total distance of 75 Kms approx. Pace steady as she goes. No pressure on the pedals. Route is flat. Weather should be 18 – 21 C, with winds from the east.

Bye bye, ac. Comments always welcome at arnpriorcycling@bell.net; http://www.twitter.com/ArnpriorCycling
