May 09/15: Ride 1) 117 Kms; 4 Hrs; ___M?;  Nine Riders. Ride 2) 102 Kms; # Hrs 29; ____M? One Rider.

Well, that was an eventful morning. Ten of us started the ride. Nine of us completed the full distance. There was a puncture, a broken spoke, and a power outage. No end to the troubles these past two weeks. But, hey, I’m 10% happier. Really. No noise and no takers on my offer to buy coffee for anyone who heard a peep from the R5. Case closed, perhaps. I hope so.

You can’t beat the Mtn Chute ride for leg-work. And, who doesn’t enjoy the rundown to Calabogie ski hill from the mailboxes at the junction of Centennial Lake Rd, especially with Marcel upfront. You just should have been there. I wished I could have. But, that’s a whole other story.

Bye the way, was that Marcel or his younger twin?

Okay, what’s up tomorrow? Here is the tentative plan, assuming a NW wind:

Meet at Stinsons at 8 am 8 am and ride rain or shine to Renfrew via Campbell Side Rd, Lochwinnow to Gillan to Opeongo to McNaughton to Butler to Pinnacle Hill to Garden of Eden to Bruce St to Tims; home via Whitton Rd and Goshen and #508, etc. Subject to change and the mood of the group. Distance estimated to be 90 Kms., with some hills but nothing on the order of to-day’s ride. You will like this one. Guaranteed. After all, it’s Mother’s Day.
