September 27/14: Six Riders; 96 Kms; 3 Hrs 11; 802 Metres.

There is little to say about to-day that to-day didn’t say about itself. It would be redundant to mention the warm sunshine, deep blue sky, flame red Sumac, morning mist on the Madawaska, photo sharp air, rustle of leaves, and postcard beauty. You just should have been there. And, you can tomorrow when we will do it all again.

Here’s the tentative plan:

Meet at the Canadian Tyre Parking Lot on Daniel at 8am 8am and ride to Kanata via Galetta, County Rd 5 to Thomas Dolan, Old Second Line, Murphy’s Side Rd, Old Carp Rd to Starbucks; Home via Carp and Diamondview to Kinurn and Logger’s Way, etc. for a total distance of approx 100 Kms. Effort moderate. Weather forecast very good. It’s just ideal. If you liked to-day, you will love tomorrow.

Okay, enough. Here is something to think about. Bob Hicks (who is the main OBC group leader) has offered to conduct a riding clinic for us. I don’t have all the details. Just wanting to throw it our there to gauge the interest. We can chat on the ride and via email later. Meantime, give it some thought. FYI, I met Bob on a Canbicuba tour a couple of years ago. Perry knows him, too. Bob is a former racer and an expert in proper technique and group riding safety.
