Hello and welcome. Another five days has come and gone. The MEC 100 is history. Fall is now three days away. We continue to ride in hope of fair weather but for how long? The old world lurches from one crisis to another like a young driver newly licensed. And, in the new world, Scotland has enough but wants more like a teenager asking for a higher allowance. Riding a bicycle is not complicated at all, really.

Well, unlike the past two Saturday’s, it looks as if tomorrow is a go. That’s the plan, anyway. I say, yes, to that. Perhaps, you will join me on a cloudy morning with a brisk wind. I hope so.

Here’s the tentative plan:

Meet at Stinsons at 8 am 8am and ride to Renfrew via Campbell Drive to Braeloch and River Road to Castleford Rd to Garden of  Eden to Pinnacle to Butler and McNaughton and then to Renfrew for coffee at the Bonnechere Bakery; Home via Goshen and #508, etc for a total distance of 85Kms. The temperature is forecasted to be 14 C – 19 C but you wont need your leggings. The main drain tomorrow will be the wind from the S and SW at 25 kms+. I had originally planned to ride to Almonte but the wind forecast has shifted from the S/SE to the S/SW. Who knows if it will change again. Just in case, be ready for a last-minute alteration to the route. I hope to see some eager riders at Stinsons.

The plan is for a steady (just below tempo ride) on Saturday. This plus the climb to Renfrew, etc should give us a decent workout. Join us if you can. Ride your bicycle for health, fitness, and fun.
