July26/14: Five Riders; 97 Kms; 3 Hrs 12; 491 Metres.

Well, all the ups and downs on the route to-day were worth the effort of the last twenty-two kilometre stretch home on Hwy #508 and Russett to Stinsons. Keith and Eric (as they had all morning) did the up-front pulling, aided by a nice tail/crosswind at this point. This coupled with a morning’s ride of no rain, no sunshine, no sunscreen, no traffic, and no gravel on Norton Rd, meant no mistaking the broad smiles of my cycling companions for anything but the joy of the open road in the company of like-minded souls. Fist pumps all round. You just should have been there.

The question of the day was ”Where does Mark get those gels?” Just got to get some of that stuff.

And, finally, Keith is back! That says it all. Nothing more to say, other than we missed you.

Regarding Sunday, the POP is 90% reducing to 70%. As of now, there will be no group ride. If the forecast changes for the better, I’ll post again; otherwise, it’s off. Sorry. Maybe, we will go for bf?
