Hello and thank you for visiting this blog. It is all about cycling, or mostly about cycling. Its purpose is to let you know about weekend rides in and around Arnprior. Maybe you will join us. I hope so.

Well, this run of fair weather has met some turbulence of late. We’ve missed two Sunday rides in a row. And, there is a good chance we may miss one or both days this weekend. I hope not. This is the plan as of now for Saturday morning:

Meet at Stinsons on White Lake Road at 8 am 8 am and ride to Calabogie (Hwy 34) to Pucker Street to Burnstown Rd to the Neat Cafe; home via White Lake or Hwy 508 (TBD) for a total distance of approx 85 Kms. Coffee at the Neat or the Bonnechere Cafe (your choice). Either way we ride the hills to Burnstown. Temperature will be 17- 23 C, with SW winds of 9-15 ensuring a good pace once we head down Pucker St. POP is 40% but for showers only. I plan to ride!! I hope you do to.

If the weather forecast/conditions deteriorate, I”ll send a post in the morning but as of now I plan to ride regardless. I guess you could call it a baptism of sort. Sorry, this is an in-joke.

Don’t miss this ride. It’s the first of our official training rides for the Tour de Bonnechere (100 Kms). Details here: http://tourdebonnechere.blogspot.ca. Please register asap!

I’m pleased to announce that there is an alternative ride this Saturday. For those wishing a gentler, kinder cycle, you can Ride with Gregg. He starts at 9 am from Stinsons riding to Pakenham and Almonte. Please email gwsheehy@magma.ca for details.

Okay, bye bye. ac. Comments welcome at arnpriorcycling@bell.net; http://www.twitter.com/ArnpriorCycling
