Okay, hello, it’s the weekend again – almost. And, the weather is fine. Imagine that. Is this becoming a habit? It would be nice, wouldn’t it? Well, in a week’s time, time will be up. There will be no going back, and going forward will be a challenge. Cramming in more training won’t work now.

But desperation is a great motivator, isn’t it? So, let’s enjoy this weekend’s ride. This is absolutely the last chance to experiment with bike-fit/food. And, your bicycle should be in top nick now, right?

Breaking News: There are two rides this Saturday; one at 7:30 and one at 9 am.

Here is the tentative plan (a reprise, if you will):

Venue: Canadian Tyre Parking Lot on Daniel St at 7:30 7:30 am

Route: Rob’s Route to Kanata and Starbucks

Distance: 102 Kms (hilly but not too many); Pace: Steady, no racing

Weather: 12-20 C, light winds (at least for now)

Alternative Ride starts at 9 am with Gregg and company riding to Fitzroy and environs, 50 Kms or so. Venue: Arnprior Library. For details, contact Gregg at gwsheehy@magma.ca. If you would like a shorter and more moderately paced ride, this is the one for you. I’m tempted myself but … . I think there are about six: Gregg plus four or five young women. Should be fun.

Okay, no excuses. The weather is fine and the outlook is great. Hope to see somebody at the 7.30 am ride.
