Okay, the wind direction for Saturday has now swung around to the SW. So— so much for the anticipated ride to Carleton Place. Sorry but this ride will have to wait for a  more auspicious forecast. Here is the latest plan (regardless of the rain):

Venue: Stinsons on White Lake Road (across from Antrim Truck Centre) at 7.30 am 7.30 am

Route: Renfrew-Pinnacle Road via Campbell Drive-Stevenson-River Road- Castleford Road-Garden Eden Road-Pinnacle Road-hwy 60 to Renfrew; home via Lockwinnoch-Miller Road-Anderson Rd-Hwy 508 to the Neat for coffee (69 kms) to White Lake to Arnprior. This route is a variation on our usual circuit to Renfrew. There will be a bit of climbing but nothing too significant. Plus, we are riding down Pinnacle hill–not up. You gotta like that.

Distance: 90 kms; Pace: Zone two! The strong riders can take the front because the wind will be fierce and gusting.

I’m riding rain or no rain. The temperature will be warm enough that the rain shouldn’t be an issue. We have only two long training rides left (Saturday and Sunday). Hope to see you there. Route subject to change at the last-minute if conditions warrant. hc
