Okay, as time passes, we look back—

”Now as I was young and easy under the apple boughs

About the lilting house and happy as the grass was green,

The night above the dingle starry,

Time let me hail and climb

Golden in the heydays of his eyes, … ‘ dt

Oh, yes golden, and I had hair, too, long ago in a land that time forgot. So, you know already that time waits for no man. Let us ride then while we are able. Hence, this notification of Saturday’s training ride. Here is the plan based upon the latest forecast:

Venue: Old Orchard Estates. You can park on the side of the road.

Time: 7.30 am

Route: Usborne to River Road to Storyland to Portage to Bristol to Norway Bay to Quyon to Fitzroy and home

Distance: 105 kms approx/Elevation gain: 450 metres+/-

Objective: Riding for distance not speed, just yet. We will have a head wind on the Quebec side to Quyon. Will present a good opportunity to practise pace-line echelon form.

As  for Sunday’s training ride, it will be in the 100 km range, either to Haley Station or Carleton Place. To be determined. That’s it. If there are any changes, I will post them late Friday afternoon; otherwise, it’s a 7.30 am start on Saturday. ciao hc contact info: arnpriorcycling@bell.net
